Want to perform longer,
recover faster,
and stay at the top of your game?
Unlike other trainers and coaches, I’ve competed at the top of my sport.
I didn’t just study elite performance, I lived it.
I’m so happy you’re here!
My name is Alissa Alter a former professional broadway dancer and classically trained Pilates instructor. Over my 20 year teaching career I’ve worked with professional athletes (NFL, FIFA, MLS), Joffrey Ballet Dancers, Rockettes, CEOs, Founders, SAHMs, and people who haven’t worked out ever ages 12-92.
Want to learn more about me, what I do, and why I do it?
As Seen In
Alissa’s Dance Class!
Dance class, but make it feminist rebellion with Bat Mitzvah energy!
This is dance as embodiment, as ritual, as resistance.
You, me, the dancefloor, and a little rebellion?
All you need to do is show up.

Training for the bodies that carry everything.
There is no single “right” way to train a body.
Especially a body that carries high stakes, history, and responsibility.
All paths are built on the same foundation: precise movement, nervous system literacy, and deep respect and consideration for your individual lived experience.

MYTH OF MOTHERHOOD
A podcast by, for, and about moms and those who love them.
This is a show devoted to calling out the idealism and perfection that our society places on mothers, while also discussing the often taboo topics that come with transitioning into motherhood. It’s time for us to stop beating around the bush or hiding our struggles so that we can be seen, heard, and way less alone. There’s no one right way to be a mother, there is only YOUR right way. Join me, Alissa Alter | women’s health expert & motherhood advocate to share our stories, let go of mythical expectations, and write our own rules. Also– can we all agree that showering, going to the bathroom, and being by yourself are NOT luxuries, but basic needs for us to not only survive, but thrive? I think it’s time.
