04: BAT MITZVAHS AND BOOB STUFF
April 26, 2021
All I want is to feel special.
Have you ever felt that way?
Like when you go on a first date and you’re totally into the person and then find out you have a friend (or two) who have already dated them?
Or your kid says mama for the first time and you’re thinking “omg. My kid is a genius! They said mama at 10 months!” But then another mama tells you their kid did it at 9.5?
Or you show up to someone’s wedding and they are wearing your wedding dress?
I think we’ve all felt this way at some point in our lives and that’s what I’m talking about on this week’s episode.
I was thinking about this because after this past year, I think we could all use a dose of feeling special. No?
There has been so much sameness, that we need some variation.
I was also recently thinking about my Bat Mitzvah because April 12th was my 24th (whoa) Bat Mitzvahversary. 24 years.
Obviously a lot has happened since then, but if I’m being honest (which of course I am) a lot of what I learned when I was 12 applies to motherhood at 37.
