Dance class, but make it feminist rebellion with Bat Mitzvah energy!
This is dance as embodiment, as ritual, as resistance.
Picture this…
- The confidence of a 13-year-old playing Coke and Pepsi knowing she’s gonna win
- The sacred chaos of a preteen sleepover
- The rebellion of claiming joy in a world that tells you to shrink
In a culture that tells women to be small, quiet, efficient, and exhausted – this class is your weekly rebellion.
A practice in joy.
A declaration of “I matter.”
A sweaty middle finger to burnout, hustle culture, and the patriarchy.
It’s sweaty. It’s silly. It’s serious about joy.

Alissa’s Dance Class
Not your average workout and definitely not your average dance class
Commit to yourself, create time for joy on purpose, and build the habit of showing up for yourself (even when life is lifing)
Alissa’s Dance Class
Build your foundation to understand wtf is happening in your pelvic floor, your entire body, your whole This class is for you if:
- You miss the part of yourself that used to love movement (but not gyms).
- You’re tired of everything feeling so serious and so damn hard.
- You want to reconnect to your body—not as a project, but as a place of power.
- You want to laugh, maybe cry, and definitely dance your heart out.
- You’re craving community, celebration, and a place to let it all out.
You don’t need rhythm. You don’t need to be “fit.” You don’t need to know the steps.
You just need to show up.

Do I need previous dance experience?
Absolutely not! All that is required is a desire for joy and fun. I create choreography that is easy to pick up and accessible for ALL bodies.
What do I wear?
I will likely wear a unitard and invite you to do the same! Jk! Well, you’re def invited but you can wear anything that makes you feel awesome that you can move in. Something you’d wear to a yoga class would be appropriate.
What if I miss a class?
Payments are not refundable or transferable. If a class is missed, it is forfeited. If you know before the cycle starts you will be away for a class, email me and let’s discuss!
Why don’t you offer drop ins?
Life is constantly lifing and it is too easy for other things to take priority. This is a commitment we make together to ourselves and each other to show up together. I structure things this way to make it a little easier to show up for yourself and your dance crew.
I’m intimidated.
While not a question, it comes up a lot. And I want you to know that I see you. While dance may feel intimidating, I am not intimidating. Your dance crew is not intimidating. This is the space to learn, explore, connect, and create.

Six weeks of dance class | All of this is yours for $240

They call me the Amy Poehler of vaginas…
But my friends call me Liss
I am a classically certified Pilates instructor, semi retired Broadway dancer/singer/actress/comedian, host of the podcast Myth of Motherhood, author of Unstuck: From Understudy To The Study Of Your Undercarriage & Dear My Vagina (coming soon!), speaker, I’m a Jill of all trades → it’s literally my middle name!
I’ve been teaching Pilates for over 20 years with almost half of that specializing and studying the pelvic floor. I have been dancing and performing for over 35 years. I know…how do I look so young?! I have worked with people ages 7 to 92 from NFL and FIFA athletes, Rockettes, Joffrey ballet dancers to SAHMs, CEOs, playwrights, and everything in between.
My one woman shows Me Party #ilovemylife and We Party #thisismotherhood played to sold out audiences at NYC’s Duplex Cabaret.
I believe that finding joy, ownership, and proficiency in your body is the biggest eff you to the patriarchy. It’s time to find, connect, and integrate our Deep V Energy (like Big D Energy, but way better) in order to secure our rights and build a better, safer, more equitable future.
