An evening of song celebrating divorce, dating, and making your own party.
Originally performed September 2017 at NYC’s premiere and historic cabaret The Duplex in Greenwich Village before a sold out house of incredible supportive and energetic friends, family, and strangers.
I met my ex-husband on the first day of college at the age of 18. We got engaged when I was 24, married when I was 25, and I filed for divorce just before my 31st birthday.
I know, I know. But I look SO young. I promise, I’m not as young as I look.
This show was created from my jounral entries through the most transformative transition of my life (and I’m a mom now so that’s saying A LOT) as I rediscovered myself, my voice, and wtf I want from this one wild and crazy life.
Featured songs from The Muppets, Carole King, Avenue Q, [Title of Show], and more! This is an evening you won’t forget.
“You’re not the boss of me, I am!”
After over a decade in musical theatre and over thirteen years in a problematic relationship I was tired of being told what to do. It was time to take the bull by the horns are start writing my own story, directing my own show, literally…creating my own shows. So that’s what I did. And it turns out…I’m good at it. Like…really good at it.
