When One Change Changes Everything

I’m still talking about the lecture I gave to the Breast Health Oncology Department about what happens in the musculoskeletal system when someone transitions out of active cancer treatment, especially what happens at the pelvic floor.

I’m still riding high, ok? I’m so excited about the impact this lecture, my work, and this workshop (see below) will have supporting patients as they move out of active cancer treatment!

Now, I know “pelvic floor lecture” sounds niche, mega nerdy, and possibly like the world’s worst PowerPoint (do we even SAY PowerPoint anymore???) but here’s the thing…

The pelvic floor is never just the pelvic floor.

Roll your eyes if you need to, but I will die on this hill.

Your pelvic floor is your foundation.
It’s the bottom of your core.
It’s the literal intersection of body + mind + nervous system.
And it influences… everything.

Which is exactly what I told the room full of surgeons, nurses, and oncologists staring at me with the beautiful “I know this is important but please help me understand it” clinician face.

So instead of isolating the pelvic floor like it lives in a vacuum, we talked about how…

  • Your foundation shapes every movement pattern above it (and below it)
  • Chronic tension in one area creates compensations and imbalances everywhere
  • Trauma, treatment, and survival mode change your nervous system
  • Rebuilding doesn’t start with “strength,” it starts with safety and connection <- I know this may sound corny, but tell that to my clients who have seen life changing results they couldn’t get anywhere else…

I told you this last week too, the part that surprised the clinicians? The same thing that surprises my clients when they start working with me…

You don’t have to overhaul a body to change it.

Change CAN begin with one breath.
One muscle group waking up again and doing something different.
One small shift ripples out into a completely different pattern.

I watched faces soften.
I watched dots connect.
I watched clinicians realize, “Oh! This is treatable. This is hopeful. This matters. My patients deserve this.”

And I left the hospital thinking if this information can empower a room full of oncology providers, what could it do for the people they care for?

What could it do for you?

So today, I’m giving you the same gift.

I’m sharing the short workshop I created for their department. This is a gentle, practical, lesson and movement experience to help you reconnect with your foundation and feel more at home in your body.

Whether you’re…

  • Recovering from treatment
  • Navigating stress, burnout, or big life shifts
  • Dealing with chronic tension or “mystery” pain
  • Simply wanting to shake things up to move and feel better

This workshop will meet you exactly where you are. I dare you to NOT feel better after this short and simple workshop. It’s literally 13 minutes…

Why am I giving this to you?

Because…

Movement changes people.
Understanding your foundation changes everything above it.
When you feel connected to your body, you make better choices, take bigger risks, and show up differently in your life and work.

There’s another reason I’m giving this to you. It’s a selfish one…I want you to experience what these clinicians experienced. I want you to feel that sense of “Ohhhh. Now I get it. This makes sense.”

If it sparks something for you, I’d love to hear about it.

But most importantly, I hope it helps you feel good in your body today.

As always, I’ve got your back. I’ve got your front. And I’ve got your undercarriage.

Want more (personalized) support?

If you try the workshop and think, “I need this kind of work regularly,” just reply to this email. Some people end up booking private sessions. Some share what they’re struggling with. Some point me toward a larger need in their clinic or community.

Wherever you land, I’m here for the conversation.
