- Take ownership of your body. I believe knowledge is power, so we’ll start by learning your physical anatomy. This is the anatomy they didn’t teach you in school! You’ll learn about what your hormones are doing to you and why you suddenly have sciatica, leg cramps, and NEED ice cream (besides the fact that it’s delicious).
- Understand your feelings. With this knowledge, we can create some space to understand why our feelings are all over the place. Why it feels so personal when people comment on the size of your bump, your breakouts, and how you should feed your baby.
- Advocate for what you want. It’s a lot to handle and you handle it well! But that doesn’t mean this isn’t hard, and it’s okay that it’s throwing you for a loop. We’ll work on how to articulate how you feel in your pregnancy and share that with the important people in your life.
- Stay calm when things get weird. Your body is doing and will do some weird stuff (things that don’t usually leak will leak). It’s not just you, it happens to everyone. You are not alone. Coming together as a community will reinforce that we are stronger than we get
